Hints of fruits followed by a silky smooth finish.The Pertois family has been growing grapes on the chalk escarpment south east of Epernay area known as the Cotes de Blanc since 1650. The change from grape farmers to wine makers took place in 1910. Amongst the total of 15 hectares, only the area known as Grand Cru du Mesnil is used for their own production. The winery, equipment, cellars and family home are all located in a splendid building on the corner of Rue Charpentier Laurain in Le Mesnil sur Oger. There are currently four generations of Pertois on site and a giant technological leap forward has been the creation of a website and a revamp of the bottle label designs. The production of quality wines however is still very much the focus of the operation.
