The Riegelnegg Olwitschhof winery, idyllically situated in the picturesque
wine-growing region of southern Styria, is located around 4 km southwest of
Gamlitz on the Sernauberg, surrounded by lush vineyards and just 3 km from the
famous South Styrian Wine Route. With an extensive vineyard area of around 14
hectares, of which the winery itself covers 11 hectares, it is home to the
production of uniquely fruity quality wines that represent the region far beyond
its borders.
The heart of the winery, a carefully renovated and extended vaulted cellar
dating from 1997/98, houses an in-house vinotheque. This offers connoisseurs and
lovers of fine wines the opportunity to experience tastings and discover the
variety of wines in a stylish ambience. Maturing in the Styrian tradition, the
white wines are mainly matured in stainless steel tanks to preserve their
characteristic freshness and fruitiness, while the red wines are stored in
barrique barrels, which gives them depth and complexity.
Riegelnegg Sauvignon Blanc Tradition is an outstanding white wine made from 100%
carefully selected Sauvignon Blanc grapes. These grapes undergo a precise
ripening process aimed at developing the full potential and characteristic
freshness of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. Once the ripening period is complete,
the wine is bottled with the utmost care and sealed with a screw cap.
