Kratosija is a variety of grape that has a long history in Macedonia. Its believed to have been grown since ancient times, when wine was poured into amphorae and delivered to rich noblemen. Despite the fact that it nearly became extinct, Kratosija has survived and winemakers have turned it into a top quality variety.
