Clear pale lemon in the glass with some depth of body. Generous aromas of ripe floral blossom, orange peel, butter, rye bread and creamy oak with a citrus streak. On the palate there is a combination of apple, lemon, rye bread and buttery notes providing a taut but developing flavour with hints of vanilla. This should develop further in bottle with continued classic traits of a barrel fermented cool climate Chardonnay.Serve with : asparagus, buffalo mozzarella salad, cod, medium curry, hard cheeses.
