Penfolds Bin 407 offers a varietal definition of Cabernet Sauvignon and approachability, yet with structure and depth of flavour. Textbook Cabernet Sauvignon is Penfolds multi-region, multi-vineyard blending, with a core of ripe fruit supported by the sensitive use of French and American oak. A great Australian Cabernet Sauvignon.

A testament to the formidable skills and experience of the Penfolds winemaking team... long, powerful, medium-bodied palate - which brings with it a silver platter of Cabernet tannin

This impressive Bin 407 spent 12 months in French and American oak hogsheads... The palate is smooth and sleek with round, grainy tannins that dont lack grip or substance, and a constant pulsing presence of linear acidity.

Plump and generous, with an exuberant, juicy mix of plum, cassis and wild blackberry flavors. Espresso, cedar and cumin details add a warm, spicy note in the middle, finishing with plenty of density and a dried floral hint. Drink now through 2030.

Really rather refined and classy on the nose. Polished claret with lovely balance. Lots of acidity and tannin on the end. Chewy for now. Dusty and dry on the end. Lifted and fresh. Still a little under-integrated. Tar and cassis liqueur. Sucky-stony quality. Very refreshing. Sinewy.
