A family run winery: along with Alain, his children Elisa and Dominique invest their time and energy in order to produce the wines of exceptional quality from their terroir. Their estate is comprised of 16 hectares of AOC Sancerre vineyards, planted on the steep slopes that surround the village of Sury-en-Vaux.
Ruby colour with garnet-red highlights. On the nose, intense and complex aromas of black cherry, blackberry jam, wormwood, cacao, and a toasted hint. On the palate, supple attack, nice volume and fatness, silky tannins. This wine offers an earthy complexity, followed by notes of cherries in brandy, tobacco leaves, and nutmeg.
Excellent with meaty smoked salmon, or tuna steaks.
A delicate, herbaceous style of Pinot Noir, much like an old-school Burgundy.
