Borgogno is one of the very first and probably the oldest wineries in Piedmont. The Italian winery strongly believes in classical and traditional philosophy, whatever its strength; For years, compliance with these traditions has been passed on to future generations. Borgogno owns 13 hectares of vineyards, 9 of which are planted with the Nebbiolo grape. The wines are all vinified in the traditional way to produce unique and structured wines. The wines are produced sustainably.
Borgogno has access to various Cru vineyards; Liste, Cannubi and Fossati. These vineyards are scattered throughout the area and give the best and typical Barolo styles. The Cannubi is the best known and most praised Cru of Barolo and produces wines that can easily reach the age of 30. Powerful wine with 4-year maturation in Slovenian oak barrels (6000 liters), after which the wine will mature for another 6 months in the bottle. The Cannubi has a deep garnet red color in the glass with the typical tiles orange tints. In the nose, the Borgogno Cannubi is full of scents of roses, herbs and dark fruit. Beautiful layers and very complex. In the mouth a full bodied wine, powerful with refined tannins. You have Barolo and you have the Borgogno Cannubi.
