Borgogno is one of the very first and probably the oldest wineries in Piedmont. The Italian winery strongly believes in classical and traditional philosophy, whatever its strength; For years, compliance with these traditions has been passed on to future generations. Borgogno owns 13 hectares of vineyards, 9 of which are planted with the Nebbiolo grape. The wines are all vinified in the traditional way to produce unique and structured wines. The wines are produced sustainably.

Borgogno has access to various Cru vineyards; Liste, Cannubi and Fossati. These vineyards are scattered throughout the area and give the best and typical Barolo styles. The Fossati matures for 4 years in Slovenian oak barrels (4500 liters) after which the wine matures for another 6 months in the bottle. The Fossati has a deep garnet red color in the glass with the typical orange hues. In the nose beautiful notes of violets, roses and hay that evolve in herbs and tobacco. In the mouth an explosion of flowers and red fruit! This is a beautiful full-bodied wine with a good balance between tannins and acids and like a top Barolo should be but in short this is the Grandcru of Borgogno.
