Full and powerful are the right names for this Finca la Beata! With an intense cherry red color and an amazing aromatic complexity. In the first instance you will taste notes of ripe red and black fruit with a hint of lavender and rosemary, which then makes way for a mineral and spicy notes and balsamic flavor. The wine has a powerful, dense structure in the mouth with very ripe tannins, good acidity and hints of fruit. Finally, enjoy a spicy, long aftertaste.

Only Bobal grapes from very old vines are used for this Finca la Beata. The vineyard has a soil of clay and limestone and is located at an altitude of 780 meters in Valencia. The grapes and the vineyard are surrounded with the utmost care and you can taste that in the personality of this powerful wine. The grapes are always harvested manually towards the end of September. Maceration takes place for at least 22 days in 700 liter barrels. In order to make the skin of the grapes as soft as possible, stirring and tasting are done daily by hand. After maceration, the wine is transferred to new 225 liter French oak barrels where malolactic fermentation takes place. Finally, the wine ages for at least 20 months in the bottle. Of the 2014 volume of La Beata, 3125 bottles were made. Each bottle is numbered. De Beata received the highest award from Decanter in 2017. The Platinum Award with 95 points

This Finca la Beata is produced by the Spanish winery Dominio de la Vega. They make wines and champagnes in a traditional, most natural way, with respect for the environment and without using all kinds of aggressive treatments or industrial processes. The grapes are always harvested in the dark and then stored in a dark, serene place where they can go through the correct aging period in peace.

This Finca la Beata tastes great with all kinds of meats (baked or grilled) and spicy stews, strong flavored cheese, foie gras, salted and smoked large shrimps.
