This Guillot family business is located in Cruzille (Cruzille is a small town north of the "Macon" between Tournus and Cluny. The Guillot wines are very expressive and authentic Mâcon wines. The Guillot family has been working organically since 1954 and has been around since Switched to biodynamic production in 1998. They still work in a very authentic way, still using a wooden press from 1895. The domain is 6.6 hectares and is planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay.

The red Macon Cruzille presents a frank and pure character. It is a textbook example of what is possible with the Gamay grape. The wines come from a vineyard of a clay-limestone soil from the Cruzille region. It has full mineral notes of red red fruit and spices including black pepper. An extremely fresh and fresh red wine that comes into its own to drink at 16 degrees. For us, one of the nicest Mâcon Gamay wines there is.
