What is this amazing and unique for the Netherlands. Internationally renowned. A full spicy wine with a minute-long finish. Many (and much more expensive) wines cannot top here. If you want something unique then definitely try. Made by the house Quinta de la Quietud which has been operating completely organically since 2002. Also for this wine is completely biologically worked during renovation and production so no fertilizer or poison but just pure nature. The wine can mature for 18 months in French oak (60% new and 40% old) and is a wine with character.

Tamed the bull (Toro)? Toro is known as a wine region for its alcoholic and powerful wines. Oenologist Jean François Hébrard, with experience in Bordeaux and Côtes du Rhone, found the challenge here to create tasty and well-balanced wines in an ecological way. Toro has a dry, rural climate, with temperatures between -13 ° C and 40 ° C, at a height of +/- 700m and a sandy surface with deep clay underlay. Grape is Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo). Provided with the necessary know-how and beautiful complex wines. Quinta La Quietud is without a doubt one of the absolute top in Spain.

Certified organic

Grape varieties:

Tinta de Toro (100%)
The domain has 22 hectares of vineyard and is organically grown.
The age of the vines varies from 15 to 80 years old. The efficiency is therefore no higher than 20 HL / HA.

Bottom:
You can compare it with the "croupes graveleuses", the "hills with boulders" on which the large châteaux of the municipal appellations are situated in Bordeaux.
You just have to view those croupes here on a huge plateau at 700 meters above sea level.
There are 2 types of soil here: type 1 = predominantly clay with boulders, type 2 = predominantly sand with boulders.
Both soils are harvested separately and vinified separately.

Annual production:
From the 2006 harvest, 28,500 bottles and 525 magnum were bottled.
The wine was bottled in September 2008. After bottling, a few years later maturing in the bottle follows.

Analytical properties:
Alcohol percentage: 15.00%

Vinification:
The grapes are planted "and gobelet", hence the manual harvest.
As mentioned above, each soil is harvested separately and also each plot is harvested separately.
The harvest is done in small boxes so that the skin does not crack and the bunches thus reach the bodega completely intact.
Harvesting is done from dawn until midday. After that it gets too hot to get the grapes fresh.
The grapes are fermented on stainless steel with temperature control. The vinification takes around 15 days.

Tasting notes:
Nose : powerful aroma, super-concentrated with baking fruit, minerality of the terroir, toast of barrel ripening; with aging, the wine develops a subtle animality.
The mouth is powerful, very full, meaty and juicy. Lots of black fruit and strong tannins. Pure class!
This wine is only lightly filtered to maintain a maximum of aromas and flavors and therefore exhibits a little depot. So put the bottle upright a while before.
Decantation preferably a few hours in advance! Pour into large, wide glasses.

Gastronomy:
Large game with a powerful red wine sauce.

Retention potential:
This is a true wine for storage!
