Château Perron is a family company that has been making wine since 1642. The beautiful chateau is located in the municipality of Libourne in the Lalande Pomerol appellation and belongs to the top in this region. The chateau is very innovative and its wines are now produced with the highest organic certification (Certified High Environmental Value III level, or Environment Management System)

This beautiful and affordable Pomerol is a blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 65 years. The manual harvest takes place with 1st selection in the vineyard and then on a vibrating table in the Château. There is also a so-called Mistral table which is equipped with a blower that blows away all irrelevant things after the double selection (such as leaves, loose stalk, insects, etc). The alcoholic fermentation takes place in cement vessels fitted with temperature control and lasts on average no less than (fermentation and lactic acid fermentation) for 45 days. The wine can then mature in French oak barrels of which 20% are new oak barrels; 40% 2nd year and 40% 3rd year oak barrels. The wine stays in the barrel for 12-14 months. The wine only gets a very light filtration (tangential flow filtration) and after that the wine stays in the bottle for at least 6 months in the cellar of the Chateau.

The wine is a complete Pomerol with a beautiful fresh dark sparkling red color with purple hues in the glass. In the nose we smell candied red and black fruits, cocoa, vanilla, toast and even some leather. The wine has a silky touch, with beautiful notes of red fruits and with a great maturity and intensity. The taste is rich, meaty, concentrated, strong. This is a beautiful pomerol and in terms of price / quality there is, in our opinion, no better.
