Finca Villacreces is located on the best piece of land along the Douro River in Spain. There are three wineries along this golden mile, including Vega Sicilia and Finca Villacreces. A unique terroir and all possibilities to make beautiful wines. The Finca Villacreces is very aromatic and attractive in the nose. It is a mix of 86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet and 4% Merlot which has been raised in French oak barrels for 14 months. It smells like violets and exotic spices with a hint of graphite and tar. The taste is full-bodied. It is a beautiful vintage where everything is in proportion with lots of fruit, tannins and enough acids and a beautiful finish. The wine is only made in the correct volume. 2015 was a great year in the Ribera del Duero so keep an eye on this wine.
