The Rapaura Springs family business was founded in 2005 and is one of the top 10 largest wineries in Marlborough. Purity and purity is what Rapaura Springs stands for. For example, the water used for the vines comes from the Rapaura Spring water source, far away from the vineyards. This crystal clear and pure water from the Wairau River flows through the rocks and travels a 6 month path to reach the vineyards. The word 'Rapaura' therefore means: running water. Within the New Zealand winery there is a lot of attention to detail and the makers strive to make the most exceptional, pure and pure wines. All wines are produced sustainably.

The Rapaura Pinot Noir has a beautiful deep cherry red in the glass. In the nose, the wine has complex scents of black fruit, leather, tobacco and dried herbs. In the mouth it is nice and juicy and the round tannins and medium acids give the wine a pleasant structure . The pinot noir has a rich fruity taste with a silky finish. The wine tastes less hyperfruity and somewhat firmer than we are used to from Marlborough Pinot Noir, with earthy tones, a fine spiciness, ripe cherries and leather. He is well balanced. The Rapaura Pinot Noir is a great glass to enjoy and an excellent accompaniment to red and white meat dishes, tomato pastes and has received rave reviews from Harold Hamersma and Hubrecht Duijker. The wine has also won the Silver Medal at the International Wine & Spirits competition in 2014

The powerful aromas and flavors are not too much, but just enough to speak of a particularly good Pinot Noir. Red fruit is of course present. In terms of aromas, I did indeed recognize a hint of tobacco. Reminds me of my grandfather when he smoked heavy cigarettes. Nostalgia. All in all highly recommended Wijnbloggers.nl, February 2016

Many New Zealand Pinot Noir often want to lean towards sweet. And just as much scraps at a too high alcohol percentage. Often 14, sometimes even 14.5 percent. At Rapaura Springs they do not participate in all that improper use of the grape. Only 13 percent. Light-footed cherry fruit. With berries, dust comb tannins and a remarkable, almost peppermint freshness. Harold Hamersma in De Grote Hamersma 2016, rated with an 8.5
