The Tempranillo grapes for the Melior have had wood aging for 6 months. The Melior Tempranillo comes from the Ribera del Duero and is a brother of Matarromera but must be taken seriously. It is a rich, full-bodied wine with aromas ranging from red fruits, spices, toasted bread and a bit of balsamic vinegar. In the mouth it is mature, polished with elegant tannins. The Melior series are wines with an excellent price-quality ratio. This wine is a classic Ribera del Duero and is easy to drink with friends and features a light woody taste due to its passage through new oak barrels for 6 months but remains smoother than its big brothers due to the relatively shorter oak contact.
Delicious glass to enjoy with friends and of course as an accompaniment to roast or grilled beef
The Melior winery is part of the Gruppo Matarromera and is best known for its Value for Money. So an excellent wine made at a very interesting price with the vision of Matarromera. At Melior, as a 100% part of Matarromera, the same principles apply to sustainabaility, so here too the wine company with windmills, biomass and solar panels generates more energy than it consumes. Melior has vineyards in the Rueda where they make the beautiful Verdejos and Sauvignon Blanc and a vineyard in the Ribera del Duero for the red Tempranillo version
