The Alvear Amontillado comes from the oldest soleras of the Alvear family. It is a generous wine made from the Pedro Ximénez grape that has undergone a long ripening period under the flor that has been completed for decades with oxidative aging in very old American oak barrels. The Alvear Amontillado Solera Fundación is one of the very best Amontillado available and this also bears witness to the very high scores of Parker and Penin.

This sherry has a beautiful aromatic intensity, with sharp notes of nuts and a very long aging.
In the mouth the Alvear Amontillado Solera Fundación is an explosion of taste sensations with the incomparable flavors of long-term aging (walnuts and hazelnuts). The taste is very concentrated with a great persistence in the mouth. This wine is the top of the house and also a non-commercial wine because only a very limited number of bottles are bottled every year.
