This non-vintage champagne left many toppers behind, including expensive millésime champagnes in a large blind tasting. In fact, you can best describe this champagne as a multi-millésime because the share of reserve wines is 40%. Many of them are more than 10 years old! The Heisieck Brut Reserve has a beautiful golden yellow color with summer flowers in the nose with light citrus and vanilla scents. In the mouth the Brut Reserve has a nice full mouthfeel. Nice and dry, which makes it an all-rounder in addition to a great aperitif gastronomic. The champagne has a nice full taste with a little honey and a nice mousse. Elegant and complex so no surprise that this champagne has won many prizes and has been voted best non-vintage champagne of 2014, 2013 and 2012 according to a large blind tasting from FINE Champagne Magazine where hundreds of champagnes are objectively compared. Furthermore, this champagne won gold medals during the International Wine Challenge 2012, the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2012, the Decanter World Wine Awards 2012 and at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2012.
FACTS: Certainly with champagnes and cavas we buy from importers so that we always have fresh bottlings and recent degorments and therefore always small in (which we can always quickly supplement. Certainly with champagnes, the whole world is often carried around in warm containers and becomes obsolete sold wine so be aware of this.
