This wine, named after Emile Bertaud, founder of Château Gauthier, is our estate's only white wine. Emile Bertaud purchased the property in 1919 and built the mansion that stands until the present day at the heart of our estate.
This elegant white wine with its delicate shiny yellow colour, crisp freshness and subtle vanilla flavours, is well-balanced and boasts a long finish. Best enjoyed on its own, with white fish and meats, Thai curries, Japanese sushis, soft cheeses and desserts.
This small batch, high density, single vineyard wine has been carefully destined to set a new benchmark in Côtes-de-Bourg winemaking.
Grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc 85%, Sémillon 15%.
Vintage: 2016.
Ageing: 6 months in stainless steel vats and 6 months in French oak barrels.
