Deep ruby red with garnet hues, the Savigny-lès-Beaune has an intense nose of wild strawberry, cherry, coffee and spices aromas. The mouth is powerful with a certain freshness with notes of liquorice and cassis. Superb tannic finish.
Lying just up the hillside from the escarpment of Beaune, the vine-growing areas of Savigny-lès-Beaune fall into two areas. The first is in the south adjacent to Beaune and the other is in the north bordering on the appellation of Aloxe-Corton. The wines of Savigny are very much like those of Beaune, with a remarkable blackcurrant and strawberry bouquet.

About Louis Latour
Founded in 1797, Maison Louis Latour has been in family ownership for 11 generations and are one of the region's most famous names. They have the privilege of creating wines from their own 50 hectare domaine in the Côte d'Or and also from the very best grapes and wines purchased through the negociant arm of the business. They also produce all their own barrels at their small, traditional cooperage in Savigny-Lès-Beaune.
