Initially there is a minerality which threatens to haunt your dreams for years to come in the way that only fine Burgundy can. This charm is derived from the terroir that gives wines like these their sense of place. The dark fruit and spice start to dance and develop as the wine is allowed to breathe. . Everything is balanced by tannins that are fine and turning silky. Really nice balance with a solid lingering finish. Showed very well and would not hesitate to open again, though it will certainly get better with more time.
