This standard Škrlet has a clear pale gold color. The nose is clean, fresh fruit flavors of apple and quince with spicy notes. Thanks to winemakers natural approach to wine production in the vineyard and in cellar the smell of the varietal characteristic is distinct, authentic for Škrlet. Extremely dry, medium-full body, soft acidity with very well fitted alcohols unusually high for this variety. Aromas are allied with fragrant sensation with a slight aspect of minerality. Despite a solid structure, refreshing saltiness and juicy structure contribute to high drinkability of this wine.

Unlike many of the clean and green style of Malvasia Istriana, Roxanich`s interpretation is more profound and arguably authentic to the taste of ripe Malvasia Istriana. Malvazijica is diminutive of Malvazija and there is no extreme skin contact here. Experience is smooth and texture almost oily. Sense of dense body on the palate is lifted by evenly spread gentle acids. In the aftertaste, ripe material leaves some intriguing saltiness.
