The Volarević winery is a family firm founded on the initiative of a father and four sons. They decided that the field of quartz, the slope beside the sea in the bay opposite the peninsula of Peljesac is ideal for planting vineyards. This micro-location has a triple insulation: sun/ stone/ sea and only Plavac Mali can withstand these extreme conditions. Vineyards of the Volarević family are processed and crafted manually and according to ecological standards. The exquisite Pošip is produced using the best grapes from Komarna vineyards. It results in a golden yellow color, with greenish hues and a distinguishing fragrance of finely tuned floral blossoms. An orange peel bouquet, calluna honey, and an elegant, smooth taste. This dry wine with a high percentage of alcohol (13.5%) rounds off perfectly. It is rich in extract and ideally measured acidity help in blending all its features into a ripe and powerful wine.
