You may have never heard of Pacherenc du Vic Bilh, this small appellation of 250 hectares (600 acres) in the Madiran area. Made of local grapes Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng, it is widely known for its sweet wines but it also produces excellent dry whites. Odé d’Aydie is one of the best Pacherenc we have come across and shows an intense, golden colour. Nose is powerful and complex, with lemon, grapefruit and honey notes. The palate is very aromatic with flavours quite similar to a sweet wine. This makes it a very original dry white, probably not the type you find every day!
