This is the result of a brilliant partnership between English wine importer David Rowledge, and his winemaking business partner Boris Kovac. Together they produce this wonderful blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Carignan producing a deliciously silky, sensuous red, packed full of plums, black cherries and damsons with a touch of smoke, liquorice and dark chocolate. In the US, where it is sold under a different label, its been awarded 94 points by Robert Parker, the countrys leading wine critic. Its a veritable feast on its own, but awesome with slow-cooked lamb. Think serious Côte du Rhône at an affordable price. Our grapes have yielded from some very old vines -Carignan over 100 years! The Domaine comprises of only 11 hectares in total. The quality and intensity of the grape are due to the fact they are picked at their perfect phenolic maturity which allows us to make wines in a very traditional way this with a modern caring vision and overview. This wine has taken a serious journey.
