Type | White |
Grapes | Chardonnay, Malvasia |
Country/Region | Italy, Lazio |
Poggio le Volpi's Donnaluce is a refined and enveloping white wine with a fascinating style. It is no coincidence that this bottle is an ode to the entire female gender. In fact, the label shows a cameo with a woman's profile, which was often used as a brooch by aristocratic women or as an embellishment of precious pendants or rings.
] It is characterized by a bright straw yellow color. The nose offers intense fruity sensations of apricot and white peach, supported by hints of smooth, lavender and hazelnut on a mineral background. Soft and intriguing in the mouth, it is fresh and savory, with a persistent, slightly almondy finish.
Ideal both as an aperitif and together with finger food, it is an excellent accompaniment to appetizers and goat cheeses. Try it with spaghetti with clams or with bottarga.
