Syrah grown in the Oak Knoll District and Coombsville areas of Napa Valley tend to have rather herbaceous aromas, ripe blueberry flavour and elegant tannin structure. Syrah grown in Atlas Peak tends to have great concentration, colour and powerful tannin. The blend of these three areas exhibits beautiful complexity in the aromas and flavours with harmonious structure and balance. The 2016 vintage was very balanced and ideal for producing wines with excellent flavour and resolved tannin. Engaging aromas of blueberry, chocolate cherry cordial and cedar compliment the flavours of black cherry, cream soda and chocolate mousse. This Syrah is fruit-focused and concentrated with a rich and velvety finish. It spent 15 months aging in new French oak. Drink now or cellar for up to 10 years.
