Golden hue. Opulent and weighty nose. Having spent so long aging in a barrel, it is highly recommended to give this Aszú some time to aerate, allowing the aromas to unfold. Your patience will be rewarded by a spectacular array of flavours including notes of honey, dried fruits, Christmas spices and toasted nuts. In line with the character of the vintage, the palate reveals a mouth-watering acidity which provides a counterpoint to the considerable amount of residual sugar. The tertiary flavours signalling maturity are clearly discernible: date, candied citrus, forest floor and Christmas spices. A wine to make any occasion special.
It is the ultimate dessert wine, perfect on its own or when partnered with cakes and patisserie, especially fruit cakes. It is also our recommended drink of choice to go with goose liver.
The Béres Vineyards and Winery were established in 2002, located in the scenic Tokaj Wine Region, a UNESCO Historic Cultural Landscape.
