Delicate and flavoursome off-dry Riesling from one of the oldest wineries in Germany
Producing wine since 1337 Schloss Reinhartshausen is one of the oldest wineries in the world, in production for almost 700 years. Aquired in 1855 by Princess Marianne of the Netherlands, the divorced wife of Prince Albrecht of Prussia, she had the ambition to
bring the wines from her possession to international recognition, which includes some of the most iconoc vineyards of the world famous Rheingau.
Fortunately, all her descendants up to H.K.H. Prince Nicolas Friedrich von Preussen, a great-grandson of the last German emperor, followed the princesss uncompromising quest for quality, so that the expressive and fine wines of the Administration Prinz von Preussen still proudly represent the finest Rheingau wine culture.
Blending grapes from the 'Administration of the Prince of Prussia', from about 16ha vineyards of the Middle Rheingau. Among them are very well known individual locations such as the Erbacher Steinmorgen, the Erbacher Michelmark and the Kiedricher Sandgrub. The wines are characterised by a variety of aromas and structure, they are expressive, rich in finesse and reflect and excellent manner, grapes variety and regional character of the Rheingau.
Tasting Note: This is how the Rheingau tastes - fruit driven, coupled with wonderful spicy notes. The pronounced mineral aromas perfectly reflect its origin and give the wine an undeniable distinction. Rounded by its fine sweetness and acidity, this wine is an ideal companion for Asian food.
