Rich and aromatic Albarino, long and lovely
Tricó is the Gallego word for a child who is born well after his or her brothers and sisters. Tricó is a white wine from the D.O Rías Baixas produced by Compañía de Vino Tricó. This winery is located in Salvaterra de Miño (Pontevedra) and is the most recent project by José Antonio López, founder of Morgadío and Lusco de Miño. Tricó is 100% from the varietal Albariño. The grapes originate from a small 5 hectare vineyard. The vines are cultivated by organic methods with the least amount of intervention in the development of the vines, chemical treatments are not used. Tricó is aged for 12 months in stainless steel containers after having undergone a traditional winemaking process.
Tasting Note: beautiful golden yellow with green iridescence which is clean, bright and intense. Fresh green apples and citrus notes accompanying stone fruits like ripe peach and apricot, as well as tropical pineapple and passion fruit. Delicate floral, herbaceous and balsamic notes complete a crisp and extensive aromatic experience. Full of flavor and lush, with a nice acidity and finish.
