About The Wine
Although the Feraud family - owners of Pegau - have been in the region since at least the mid-17th century, it was Paul, the father of Laurence (the family member currently IC here) who started to bottle his own wines, the fruit previously having been sold off to negociants. The domaine's name was changed from Feraud to Pegau in the late '80s, at which time the vineyard area in Châteauneuf amounted to some 7 hectares, rising to 21 hectares today. In 2012 they added 40 hectares of Côte du Rhône vineyards. This is a source of very traditionally-styled Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Please be advised that deliveries outside mainland UK may incur additional charges.
