Since the end of the 18th Century, the Comtes Lafond family have owned the most important vineyards in Pouilly Fume. To this day Ladoucette is one of the most sought after wines in the region.
Made only in the best years, Baron d 'L' is the finest expression of Loire Sauvignon Blanc. The vines used are on average 40 yeards old and hardly make enough for 8000 cases each vintage! The juice is taken off the wine just using the natural weight of the grapes to ensure the cleanest and purest flavour. The wine is kept in the cellars for two years with it's lees to ensure optimum freshness and complexity. Orange peel, grapefruit, beeswax and lemon are just some of the aromas. The palate is minerally and intense, this is a Sauvignon with the potential to age!
