Lugana DOC is a distinctive region which reaps the benefits of both the land and the lake, and it is in this terroir that the Turbiana vines flourish and produce their purest expression. Preserving native varieties and the natural environment is at the heart of the Cà Maiol ethos: green land management practices are used to ensure sustainability, while the winery is gravity-fed. In 2017, Cà Maiolbecame a part of the Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo; owned by four brothers, the third generation of the Marzotto family, who follow traditional values, blending modern agriculture and technology with nature to work together in harmony. They have invested in the winery and vineyards and as a result, the estates 110 hectares are the fertile custodians of a wine with a marked local identity and contemporary style. In 2021, Cà Maiol was awarded Winery of the Year by Gambero Rosso.
