Generous, fruity and complex on the nose. A silky attack on the palate with a tannic structure present, all in balance. The lightly oaky fruit aromas are very elegant and contribute to the long aromatic finish. The Merlots are very dark, almost black, fleshy with smooth tannins. The Cabernet Sauvignons have great depth with very indulgent fruit. The Petit Verdots, despite being very fruity and charming, did not have sufficient structure to make it into the blend for the first wine of Beaumont.
