Chateau Cissac is in the heart of the Medoc and the 2011 vintage is just starting to come around, perfect for Christmas drinking. Classically Cabernet dominated with cassis and cigar box shavings, the addition of Petit verdot and merlot adds plummy perfumed fruit. The wine is aged for 20 months in barrel with 40% new oak. The vineyards are situated in exceptional terrior adjoining Saint Estephe and Pauillac appellations.
