Chateau Musar has released the 2007 vintage ahead of the 2006 as they believe that is was not ready. The 2007 was an a most unusual vintage, with the grapes ripening at the same time as opposed to staggered picking according to each variety ripening at different times. A very good vintage it has aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries and fruit cake. The palate is soft initially with dark fruits, before chocolate and spice are revealed. The mid palate is very well balanced, intense with good structure, elegant but with youthful tannins. A great vintage to enjoy now or cellar for 10-15 years
