This Beaujolais-Village Blanc has been made using Chardonnay grapes from vineyards located at the foot of Montgenas hill facing northeast. The vineyards is mainly made up of sandy soil with large portions of clay and pink granite. A portion of the wine is aged on fine lees in old oak barrels for 7-8 months to add complexity. The result is a wine full of freshness on the nose with peaches and white acacia flowers with a hint of toasted bread. The palate is rich and full-bodied but with freshness hints of apricots and fresh butter. A great alternative to white Burgundies, from more expensive villages.
