This delicious white wine is sourced from vineyards in Gascony where the cooler climate here is perfect for these indigenous grapes to grow and produce magnificent, succulent flavours. The vines are around 40 years old and the grapes are machine harvested at night to protect them from oxidation and directly pressed with a pneumatic press. The juice is racked to extract only the purest, cleanest juice before fermentation. When the fermentation is completed, it stays on the fine lees for a couple of months to help add texture and complexity to the already delicious natural flavours.

This dry, fresh white wine is packed with citrus flavours making the perfect tropical treat for a relaxing crisp, fresh drink.

Flavours

Tasting notes:  This Colombard Côtes de Gascogne is a dry, fresh Sauvignon Blanc packed with citrus and tropical aromas and lemon, green apple and a hint of passion fruit on the palate. It is balanced by refreshing acidity and a lovely zesty finish.

Ideal food pairings:  This white wine is delicious chilled as an aperitif on its own or with seafood, a fresh chicken caesar salad or family-style asparagus risotto.

Serving

Serving temperature:  White wines, such as Sauvignon Blanc are ideally served between 7-10 ̊ C, which is slightly cooler than other white wines. Pop your bottle in the fridge for a few hours before serving to bring it down to temperature.

Glass Style: Opt for a standard tulip-shaped glass with a small to medium-sized bowl. If you are dining in a more casual setting with friends, why not try DrinkWells very own stemless wine glasses?
