Valle Andino was acquired in the early 1990s, with the first vintage being produced in the Maule Valley region in 1994, this is the largest wine producing area in Chile, with a tradition which dates back as far as the 17th Century. Since then, Valle Andino has expanded into Colchagua and Casablanca Valleys, these vineyards now cover over 450 hectares. The vineyards are located in Casablanca Valley, particularly known for growing white grape varieties in Chile. Low average temperatures during the growing season and the coastal influence of the Pacific Ocean allow proper maturity of aromas and flavours. It is grown in the first part of granitic slopes in the Costal Mountain Range in central Chile, near ValparaÃso.
Brilliant pale yellow colour with green highlights, with ripe fruit, very citrus and subtle aromas of passion fruit. Very fresh, dry and well balanced.
It is ideal as an aperitif, it goes well with seafood, sushi and fresh oysters.
The Sauvignon Blanc for this Valle Andino Reserva Especial comes from the cool, northerly Casablanca Valley near Valparaíso, where the climate is moderated by cool coastal breezes.
