1x Chateau Cailleteau Bergeron, Prestige, Côtes de Bordeaux, 2016
From the Côtes de Bordeaux, an exceptional hidden gem from an unheralded region. Bright and soft, with copious fruit and subtle hints of tobacco and leather. Ripe tannins and plenty of potential. Enjoy with beef, lamb, spicy food and poultry.
1x Chateau St Georges, Saint-Émilion, 2012
A best-seller, superb quality from a sub-appellation of Saint-Émilion. Keeping some of the fruity complexity of its early youth, affirming itself and is giving way to a spicy, toasted bouquet with floral notes. Its elegance is confirmed by the good balance in the mouth from tannins which are already well developed and where the floral and toasted elements combine well together in harmony. Delicious with highly flavoured dishes and all red meats. Best served at 16°C.
1x Chateau Nouret, Médoc, 2014
A rejuvenated estate in the Médoc producing exciting wines. Only 4,600 bottles produced. Blackcurrant, blueberry, toast and leather, with a fresh, accessible palate and impressive structure. 12 months in oak, 30% of which is new oak, providing additional complexity and a plush refined mouthfeel.Try it with a juicy burger or beef stroganoff.
1x Fonplegade, Fleur de Fonplegade, 2012
The delightful second-wine from Château Fonplegade, full of early-drinking charm.
1x Chateau Grand Corbin, 2011
The first vintage produced under their new consultant winemaker, Hubert de Boüard, the owner of Château Angelus. Relatively light in this cooler vintage; made for relatively early-enjoyment, with accessible red-berry aromas and earthy undertones. Black fruit comes through on the palate, along with wood-spice; classically austere on the finish. Perfect with meaty pasta dishes, or lamb meatballs with tomato sauce.
1x Chateau lEnclos, Pomerol, 2014
A historic château in the heart of Pomerol; this is a rounded, expressive wine just entering its drinking window. Plush ripe plum fruit, with a hint of black olive, and a touch of cherry. Ideal with lamb. Drinking well now, will improve until 2025; a property to watch in Pomerol.
