Emilio Moro is seen as the example of the winemaker in the Duero's (benchmark producer). The summit of Emilio Moro is without a doubt the Clone de la Familia. This wine is only made in good years and a maximum of 1000 bottles are produced from this version. The grapes come from three small vineyards that all have different terroir, namely clay, lime and stone. The special thing about this top wine is that this wine is produced from the original Tempranillo clone from their old original family vineyard. So all tempranillo vines of all wines from Emilio Moro are descended from these vines and this explains the name of the wine: The Clone of the Family.

The wine has had 18 months of education on new French barriques. The Clone de La Familia is a rich full bodied modern Ribera del Duero wine. The wine is powerful but also silky. The winemaker José Moro gives this wine the designation "Honest". In the nose we smell black currants, licorice and fennel covered with herbs and smoky notes. On the palate the wine is medium to full-bodied with fine-grained tannins and a good acidity that ensures that the wine remains very elegant but also powerful. Give the wine some time and advice is sure to decant the wine. This is the absolute top from the Ribera del Duero.

You know: the wine is sold to the importers as we do through the Emilio Moro Charity Foundation and the entire proceeds of this wine go to charity.
