Heras Cordon is located in the heart of La Rioja Alta, in the municipality of Fuenmayor. Traditional but also super-modern with a state-of-the-art wine installation focused on just making great wines. Heras Cordon is accompanied by the prestigious oenologist Alejandra Schmedes.

Absolute top. Is exclusively served in the Vatican (the only Spanish red wine served in the Vatican !!). The Heras Cordon Reserva is great vintage from the Rioja . A mix of 90 % Tempranillo and 10 % Graciano , which was raised for 18 months in 80 % new French and American oak . A glass - coated opaque purple and offers a tempting bouquet of earth , leather , espresso , black cherries and blackberries . Beautifully Layered in the mouth it has   tones red and black fruit (raspberry, blackberry) and has an excellent balance with a long , pure finish . Drink this beautiful Rioja during 2016-2030. This wine costs on average around 40 euros (normal size) so see here the effect of being able to buy directly from the bodega.

The Reserva only comes on the market in peak years. After 2005, 2010, 2011, 2012 is the year that another reserve has hit the market, but that is no surprise because 2012 was a wonderful year in the Rioja Alta. There will be no 2013.
