Finca Villacreces Nebro is produced exclusively in good years (the last time was the 2011). A total of 1650 bottles are available worldwide. The grapes come from an 80-year-old single vineyard in the Olmedillo zone. With the 2013, as with the 2011, new barrels of 100% new Darnajou oak have been used and this makes the wine stronger, more oaky than in previous years. Fantastic wine of a grand year: blueberries, cassis, roasted coffee, spices, minerals and tobacco with balanced wood tones. The wine is very concentrated and balanced but needs some time so decanting is definitely recommended. This is a powerful XXL Ribera so for those who love a sturdy glass.
