The 2012 Aquilon is a great solid wine and is the top wine of Bodegas Alto Moncayo In 2012, the yields were very low and the wine has very concentrated juice. This is a full-bodied and very complex and complete Garnacha, ripe and rich, large and built like a tank. The wine still has "puppy fat" so don't open until 2017. The oak beautifully integrated and the Aquilón has plenty of scents and flavors of chocolate, toasted bread and coffee. A very good vintage of Aquilon rewarded with 94 Parker points and 96 Penin points. Only 3560 bottles of this vintage were produced. For lovers of the powerful yet elegant work!
