This 2nd Grand Cru Classe Pauillac Rerserve de la Comtesse from 2015 was made by Chateau Pichon-Longueville Comtesse. The winery was taken over in 2007 by champagne vineyard Louis Roederer. This beautiful Pauillac is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon , 40% Merlot , 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot . The wine has a very refined and pure bouquet of black cherries, cedar and violet aromas and is perfumed and sensual. Medium-bodied on the palate with supple, rounded tannins that are covered with layers of tobacco-tinted black fruit that turns into a long, slightly spiced and also soft aftertaste. A delicious red wine with a great aging potential. Storing a little longer will definitely benefit this wine!
This beautiful wine tastes great with grilled meat, red meat (game) and also with hard, spicy cheeses.
