In only the greatest years (such as the 2013 and 2015 vintage), the Fuligni's select grapes from the best part of the Brunello vineyard. According to the appellation, a Riserva gets 5 years of education, three of which in wood. The grapes come mainly from the oldest vines in the vineyard. The Brunello-Riserva produced from these vines certainly shows characteristics of an extremely long life, but immediately reveals its important quality and appeal with the potential of aging that can last for many decades if stored properly (dry, especially no large temperature fluctuations preferably cool and no UV/sunlight). The Fuligni's Reserve can be found in the cellars of the greatest collectors and represents an excellent investment thanks to its high value on the market and at auction
Initially closed and shy, the Brunello di Montalcino Riserva needs some extra time in the glass before it releases its potential. The wine is made according to a very classic traditional preparation that releases the delicate fruit, freshness, fully integrated tannins (pushed forward by Slavonian oak barrels) and bright acidity. This wine is impeccably balanced and radiant. It's beautiful to drink already, but it has the natural DNA to ensure a gracefully aging future.
98/100 Parker and 99/100 Suckling
