Tresmano is located on the famous golden mile of the Ribera del duero (you know - the clay area where Vega Siclia, Emilio Moro, Pago de Carraovjeas and Matarromera have the vineyards. It is a collaboration between 3 famous families led by the famous winemaker Fernando Remirez de Ganuza together with the Ruiz family in Mexico (La Europea) and Pedro Aibar known in Aragón (and Rioja) for his historical good work both in Viñas del Vero years ago and in Pagos del Moncayo. 30Ha of around 50 years old located on poor loamy sandy soils.
Remirez de Ganuza is considered to be one of the most famous wineries in the Rioja which, for example, was the first to receive the magical 100 out of 100 points for their Rioja Gran Reerva. The fact that this house behind Tresmano indicates that this is not just a Ribera del Duero but a class of wine. The Tr3smano distinguishes itself in style, especially by the freshness and fruit dominated. The large aromatic concentration of ripe red fruit is striking in the nose, the new wood adds complexity with roasted and smoked notes (cocoa, toffee, coffee) and spices (pepper). On the palate it is a fleshy and fresh wine, with complexity and power but fine and elegant. The tannin structure is silky and is perfectly balanced with acidity and alcohol.
The Tr3smano combines perfectly with Tapas with Iberian ham, but certainly also with lamb, game or red meat. and dare to serve this with dark chocolate desserts.
