Beringer Estate was founded in 1876 by the Frederick brothers and Jacob Beringer. They emigrated from Germany to the United States in the 19th century and founded the now renowned winery Beringer in California.
The Beringer Vineyards are the oldest wineries in all of Napa Valley and have remained in business ever since. The Beringer winemakers also last a long time: the current, Laurie Cook, is only the seventh in the long history. It is indicative of the continuity and consistency that characterize the company. Today, Beringer's wines stand for award-winning quality. In the Top 100 of the authoritative wine magazine Wine Spectator, the house has even more entries than any other wine company anywhere in the world.
The Beringer Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from the Classic range is a Cabernet Sauvignon from the relatively cool vineyards of Beringer Estate in Napa Valley. In the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon is beautiful ruby red with notes of black fruit in the nose with sweet vanilla, oak notes and spices. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied and very pleasant to drink due to the good balance between fruit, alcohol and acidity. Perfectly suited for a wide variety of occasions.
