The Tempranillo grapes for the Arzuaga crianza come from the La Maquinilla vineyard which belongs to the oldest plot of the estate and is located at 911 meters above sea level on a clay-limestone limestone soils. The wines ferment on stainless steel and are all aged in American and French oak barrels. This Arzuaga crianza has aged 16 months on American (40%) and French (60%) oak and 1 year bottle aging before leaving the bodega.
The Arzuaga is intense and clean with an impressive nose full of mineral notes. A hint of balsamic, chocolate, figs, soft vanilla notes of the wood-bearing and a hint of honey can be found under a red and blueberry background. In the mouth, the wine has a wonderfully soft and creamy taste with an impressive persistence and length. The Arzuaga Crianza is winner of the Gran Bacchus 2017 (gold)
