A feature that distinguishes Tentenublo is the special situation of its 7 hectares of vineyards, spread over 19 plots located between Viñaspre and Lanciego, one of the lesser known areas of the Rioja region. The incredible diversity of these plots led to the diverse wines that Tenteublo produces, in all cases being very small unique plots so final production is only a handful of very unique great Rioja wines.

The latest addition to Tentenublo's Escondite del Ardancho line is arguably Roberto Oliván's most unique wine and is a red wine made from a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Viura, Malvasia grown in the Veriquete vineyard. The vineyard is only 0.4 hectares in size and the trunks vary between 50 and 100 years old. The vineyard has a terroir of marl and sandstone and works with minimal intervention. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged in French oak barrels for 9 months. The wine is no longer clarified or filtered. The Atlantic influence emphasizes the fresh and subtle profile of this very personal rioja. The proportions are perfect. In the nose we smell leather, coffee, chocolate and red fruit and the mouth beautiful notes of flowers and beautiful ripe fruit. Power but also a lot of balance and elegance. This is a modern style Rioja wine of which only a handful of bottles are made.

In some cases, the wines are given a kind of WAX seal instead of a regular capsule. This has no further purpose and has the disadvantage that it hardens fairly quickly and pieces can easily crumble (spontaneously, during transport, etc.). This has no influence on the quality of the wine. We cannot give any further guarantee for this.
