The Bogle family has been active in agriculture for more than 100 years. Since the late 1960s, grapes have also been grown in the California wine region of Clarksburg and later also Lodi. Part of the wine is fermented in new oak barrels; a part of it matures 'sur lie' and a part is malolactically fermented. All in all an (affordable) textbook example of Californian Chardonnay. In the glass, the wine is golden with thick tears. The Bogle Chardonnay has the typical apple and pear flavors and you also taste vanilla as a result of wood aging. The wine matured on wood is nicely full and creamy and has a wonderfully long finish.
Bogle is certified by various bodies: California Certified Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate and the "Sacramento Area Sustainable Business" Certificate.
